Winter tour of an active tulip farm in Heemskerk. Learn the national flower from a tulip farmer and take home a bouquet!

Have you wondered what happens behind the scenes at a tulip nursery? During this Winter Tulip Farm outing, our enthusiastic guide will take us out to the very sand fields and greenhouses where Dutch tulips are grown. We will complete the tour with a warm beverage, apple pie, and a bouquet of fresh tulips! Our host, CoasTulip, is a collaboration between five companies that aim for absolute top-quality tulips—cultivated with passion in traditional ways. These companies are all located in the North Holland coastal town of Heemskerk. Travel to the farm is not accessible by mass transit, so we will carpool. Please complete this <a href="https://forms.gle/kUnZ3yLWKmZ3ySbJA" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Google form</a> so we can arrange transportation. The tour cost is €25 for the tulip farm outing and a fair contribution for the driver to offset the cost of petrol ... a lunch is optional.Maximum 12 people - be sure to secure your spot!This excursion is open to AWCA members and guests. RSVP as soon as possible so we can confirm carpools.Ticket for excursion includes:<ul><li>Entry ticket and one hour guided tour of working tulip farm by tulip farmer</li><li>A small bouquet of farm-fresh tulips</li><li>Apple pie, warm drinks</li></ul>Notes: <ul><li>Refund Policy: Tour tickets are non-refundable due to the commitments of our vendor. However, should you need to cancel, the Excursions Team will do their best to fill your spot and refund you.</li><li>Please wear comfortable shoes and dress in layers.</li></ul>Transportation:<ul><li>We will be arranging carpools for this outing.
