Overview

An inclusive, hands-on hackathon bringing together tech, creative, and non-technical minds to reimagine the future of the quantum ecosystem.

🚀 WIQD Hackathon 2.0 – Interdisciplinary Innovation in Quantum

Ready to build, learn, and collaborate across disciplines? WIQD Hackathon 2.0 is an inclusive, hands-on hackathon where curiosity matters more than your background.

This event brings together participants from tech, design, communication, policy, education, and beyond to tackle one shared challenge: how do we make the quantum ecosystem more inclusive, accessible, and impactful?

You’ll work in interdisciplinary teams, supported by mentors, to create practical proofs of concept — from digital prototypes and creative communication strategies to policy ideas.

No prior STEM expertise is required.

To make sure everyone can jump in with confidence, the hackathon includes:

  • Open-access preparatory webinars and learning resources
  • Structured team formation across disciplines
  • Challenges that value technical, creative, and non-technical contributions equally

👥 Who should attend?

This hackathon is for you if you are:

  • A student (Bachelor’s or Master’s) curious about quantum or innovation
  • An early-career professional in tech, design, communication, policy, education, or related fields
  • Someone working in or around the quantum ecosystem
  • An ally or community builder interested in inclusion, outreach, and societal impact
  • Simply curious and eager to learn by doing — no quantum background needed

⭐ Why attend?

By joining WIQD Hackathon 2.0, you will:

  • Gain hands-on experience working on real-world challenges
  • Learn how different disciplines collaborate in the quantum ecosystem
  • Build new skills beyond your core expertise (teamwork, problem-solving, communication)
  • Expand your network across academia, industry, policy, and creative fields
  • Receive mentorship and feedback from experts with diverse perspectives
  • Walk away with a tangible proof of concept and a stronger sense of your own impact
  • Have an opportunity to win a prize for your contribution

Whether you’re here to build, explore, or connect, this is your chance to learn by doing, meet inspiring people, and experience how diverse perspectives power better innovation.

Join us and help shape a quantum ecosystem where everyone belongs.
