Polish Professional Women in the Netherlands(www.polishprofessionalwomen.com) is a platform uniting Polish female professionals and entrepreneurs living and working in the Netherlands.Our goal is to gather together a group of active internationally minded women, so that our network of contacts is rich and diverse. Our members represent various professions and industries, have the experience of working in an international environment and are eager to share their knowledge. They come from world of business, culture, academic institutions and social organizations.We want to be a platform for the exchange of knowledge, experience, and thus support the personal and professional development of our members.

Have you ever been cut of short in the middle of the nice chat at the beginning of a zoom call? Or on the flip side: have you felt increasingly nervous that the chit-chat takes all the valuable time when you could have been discussing business topics? The chances are what you have experienced has been a result of a cultural clash. Join this session to learn how to recognize and overcome cultural differences to successfully navigate an international working environment.

Before stepping in the IC field having worked for nearly a decade in a number of international companies, over the past 8 years Magdalena has held global commercial roles in a multinational corporate. She has gained extensive firsthand experience in navigating a multicultural business environment. 
Born and raised in Poland, Magdalena has spent different lengths of time living an expat life. Just under seven years ago her carrier brought her to the Netherlands where she currently lives and works.
“In my daily job I have witnessed how (inter)cultural competency – and the lack of it - can truly impact teams' performance and job satisfaction. How much energy could be saved and how much frustration avoided should people be better equipped to work across cultures”. 
And it is why I am driven to share my experience and knowledge in the field of intercultural communication.”
Sociologist with major in cultural anthropology by training, and an avid traveler by nature – Magdalena is passionate about enabling people to see themselves and others with a new lens, turning every intercultural encounter into an opportunity for creating an inclusive and equitable environment for all.
