Workshop: Animal Art~ 'Birds' for Beginners, Eindhoven

Come join us and discover a fun, easy technique of watercolour painting and pencils to portray animals. Whether you're an experienced artist or complete beginner (no drawing or painting experience necessary!), I'll have some fresh tips and tricks for you to discover. Each session has specially-designed printed worksheets and guides to take home.

This workshop will have a special focus on illustrating birds.

• How do we make the birds look 'real', lively and have a convincing and attractive texture? How to make them look like a particular species.

We'll work on how to~

• Become familiar with your materials

• Illustrate animals that come to life

• Learn illustration shortcuts and tricks

• Overcome perfectionism and make drawing a fun experience

We'll be working from some lovely photo reference, and you'll pick up the fundamentals which can be applied to any sketch subject, not just animals. We'll be using high quality coloured pencils and watercolour paints. All materials (and refreshments!) provided.

Laura Carter is a professional English illustrator, with several years experience of giving art workshops.
