Een workshop over Keti Koti, met als basis de Pangi, een Surinaamse wikkeldoek.

Bewerk tijdens deze workshop je eigen Pangi, een wikkeldoek die alle culturen in Suriname met elkaar verbindt. Net als de Marrons ga je je eigen draai geven aan de doek, door er je eigen symbolen van vrijheid, verzet en emancipatie op te zetten. Je kunt ze erop schilderen, tekenen of plakken.De workshop begint met een korte uitleg over de geschiedenis van Keti Koti en de Pangi en het bekijken van voorbeelden. Dan ga je je eigen symbolen schetsen en vervolgens vertaal je dat naar de Pangi, die je natuurlijk mee naar huis mag nemen. **** EngelsDuring this workshop, create your own Pangi, a wrap cloth that connects all cultures in Suriname. Just like the Maroons, you’ll put your own spin on the cloth by adding your own symbols of freedom, resistance and emancipation. You can paint, draw or glue them on.The workshop begins with a brief explanation of the history of Keti Koti and the Pangi, followed by a look at some examples. You will then sketch your own symbols and transfer them onto the Pangi, which you are, of course, welcome to take home with you.
