9to90CreativeCommunity

The 9to90 Creative Community is a project especially for those that wouldn’t normally visit a gallery. Devised by GS Artists Swnsea, it is their dedicated community engagement project for creative’s especialy those that don't know they are creative.

We offer an art service- workshops that are open to all, for exploration, conversation, and creation.

The free events offer opportunities to create works and explore new creative challenges. During the pandemic we took all the workshops online, and moving forward will always offer this hybrid option for those unable to join us in person, and can offer art materials on request.

Over the last 5 years with our community we have created an open submission, free to enter competition and exhibition with 3 age groups and numerous categories and prizes; Painting, Drawing, Craft, Prose and Poetry, Photography, and a very special ‘Paint a Portrait Category’ To date Sir Peter Blake, Michael Sheen and Rob Brydon and Catherine Zeta Jones have been immortalised in numerous materials. All the works entered are exhibited, adopting professional standards.

We are currently developing weekly drop in art classes, extending our art service to all year round
