 is the newest province in The Netherlands, with most of its lands reclaimed from the sea in the mid 20th century. It is the most sustainable Dutch province, with much wind, solar, biomass and geothermal energy produced. The province aims to be energy neutral by 2020, and is involved in European energy innovation projects such as EV Energy to achieve this target.
