The Dutch National Student Orchestra: Unique in the world 

Every year, the Dutch National Student Orchestra (NSO) gathers students from all Dutch universities. The orchestra members are carefully selected through auditions. For these students, the NSO forms a unique chance of performing like a professional musician. In February they all pause their studies, and instead have a month of full-time rehearsing and performing with the NSO. The concert program will be performed in all major Dutch concert halls, a tour that ends with a performance at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. Usually there are two short international concert trips in additon to the Dutch tour. This year, in 2022, the NSO will visit Duisburg (10 Feb) and Bielefeld (17 Feb) for two free concerts in Germany!
