if you’ve not seen The Matrix, Neo’s are people who have a special ability and role to play in making the world a better place.
Specifically, The Startup Race aims to help Scottish entrepreneurs build Startups and Scaleups more quickly and easily so they can make a positive difference around the world with their innovation.
To achieve this mission, The Startup Race helps Scotland’s smartest serial entrepreneurs identify and focus on the one thing that matters in order to build a successfull business, and helps them to raise investment.
The Origin Story
The Startup Race was established in 2013 as a result of entrepreneurs who wanted to innovate the startup process, collabourating in Edinburgh, Scotland.
We believe that:
1 - 95% of Startups fail to become successful Scaleups in Scotland because they drift, run out of time and money.
This is because Founders don't understand (or have the discipline to focus on) the one thing that really matters in converting a Startup into a Scaleup.
2 - 99% of Startups fail to raise investment because they make the same basic mistake.
This is because they have not focused on the one thing that really matters and are therefore not attractive to investors.
