Here’s what you’ll be learning:

  1. Body awareness: to enhance movements and control with exercises to improve your posture, balance and spatial awareness
  2. Emotional expression: learn how to connect, explore and express your emotions with more authenticity through musicality exercises
  3. Cross-training: increase your energy and stamina by focusing on flexibility and agility
  4. Musicality: learn how to read, understand and connect with the music (rhythmic drills, listening sessions, movement variations, syncopation, etc.)
  5. Connecting with others: through group formations and transitions to make your dance visually more engaging
  6. Spatial awareness: learn how to make the most out of your environment (direction, levels, patterns, etc.) to convey the full extent of your emotions
  7. Freestyle and improvisation: develop your ability to connect to the music, move on the spot, and adapt to different musical elements and genres
  8. Performance psychology: increase your levels of confidence for even more captivating and engaging performances
  9. Cultural and historical context: understand and connect with the roots and meaning of the different Afro dances we’ll be discovering and dancing onto
  10. Personal feedback: a small group training for more in-depth feedback and guidance
