📚 Welcome to the CMC Bookclub – a new space for reflection, learning, and meaningful conversation. The first word revealed to the Prophet (peace be upon him) was Iqra (read). Reading has always held a sacred place in our tradition—not just as an intellectual exercise, but as a pathway to spiritual growth. Through this bookclub, we honor that legacy.
📖 Our first shared read? The Intelligent Heart, the Pure Heart by Dr. Gohar Mushtaq – a powerful exploration of the heart not just as a physical organ, but as a spiritual compass in Islam. Through a blend of Qur’anic insight, Prophetic wisdom, and modern science, the book invites us to rethink what it truly means to “know” and to “feel”.
✨ This first bookclub gathering will be co-led by Sara and Dina. Together, we aim to create an intentional, accessible, and welcoming environment to explore the book’s themes and how they relate to our everyday lives.
