Join us for a fun and relaxed in-person event where you'll learn the basics of travel sketching while exploring beautiful surroundings. Perfect for beginners, we’ll walk, draw, and discover new spots together.

Yuliya, a visual artist and designer, will lead a sketching walk through the neighbourhoods of Amsterdam, discovering out-of-the-beaten-path areas and cute corners.

What to expect:

• 1,5 hours sketching session with Yuliya, accompanied by tips on composition, use of materials, and tools to capture Amsterdam in your own way
• A5 sketchbook
• A cheat sheet with curated tips on composition and storytelling. You will get tips on how to notice and capture visual patterns, storylines and dialogues between the environment and people.
• Personalised feedback on your work (optional).

Is any drawing experience required?

• No, all levels are welcome. Yuliya creates an especially welcoming atmosphere for beginners and focuses on telling your story through visuals.

What to bring?
Comfortable clothing that will help you to move and sit comfortably. A hat and sunscreen when it is sunny, and a coat to keep yourself warm if the wind catches us on the way.

Price:
25 euros, including the use of materials (charcoal, pencils), an A5 sketchbook and a custom guide with tips.
