I am Yuliya, a Ukrainian visual artist and designer, currently living in Amsterdam. Yuliya was born in Chernivtsi, and my first art teacher was Oleg Lubkiwsky, who is recognised for his poetic depiction of the Austrian-Hungarian heritage of her hometown. I moved to the Netherlands in 2021 to pursue an MSc in the Design for Interaction programme in Delft after completing a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Communication Design in London.

I am constantly deepening my visual practice. I finds painting to be a medium for discovery, an exploration of the essence of self and others, allowing meanings and emotions to interact through colour. She is inspired by perceptions of colour and sensations arising from witnessing nature, the urban environment, and people. Recently, I have been teaching design and form-giving at the Department of Visual Design and Arts at the National University of Lviv Polytechnic.

I find sketching a space for a dialogue of self-discovery, and I make my sketching sessions personalised, with an individual approach for everyone. I will help you to enter this space and leave hesitations behind. I believe everyone has the potential to express themselves creatively and give your own meaning to reality.
