Black Heart Association
Black Heart Association (BHA)strives to be the conduit between the black community and heart health.
We promote prevention over treatment by providing screenings, education and advocacy for people of color. You will find us whereever our people of color hang out from the hood to the boardroom we are there.
Our organization was founded by a survivor and her husband, and therefore we understand what people of color face day in and day out via the healthcare system. We are focused on early detection, prevention, advocacy, policy and education around heart disease, stroke, mental and spritual health for the betterment of our community.
Our Vision
To be at the forefront of research, prevention, treatment, and education surrounding heart disease in the Black communities.
Our Mission
To significantly lower the number of Black deaths caused by heart disease and stroke each year. Our organization aims to bridge the gap between the black community and proper screening, and health care. Our mission is to empower others to become advocates against heart disease and educate our community on how to live longer, healthier lives.
