UCL East Engagement

UCL East Engagement

UCL East is the next chapter in our disruptive thinking and the biggest development in UCL's nearly 200-year history. Our East campus on Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park offers exciting new degrees and the scale and space needed to tackle the biggest challenges facing the planet.

Our One Pool Street base opened last autumn. Full of multidisciplinary research labs and studios exploring ecology, robotics, urbanism, culture, disability and heritage, with a lecture theatre doubling as a cinema, a shop, café and homes for 500+ students.

Marshgate, opening later in 2023 , is eight floors of hi-tech, cross-disciplinary research labs, teaching areas, fabrication workshops, collaboration spaces, a library, a refectory, prayer space and a UCL Institute of Making.

UCL East is accessible, sustainable and open to the public, with exhibitions and public art from local artists.

"At UCL East, we are creating an experiential and accessible learning environment in which transformative research, collaboration and engagement will create a better world."
