Scottish Association for Marine Science (SAMS)

The Scottish Association for Marine Science (SAMS) is the UK's first ocean research and education charity and has been delivering independent marine science since 1884. Based in Oban, 160 staff and 200 students are working for healthy and sustainably managed seas and oceans through world-class marine research, education and engagement with society. SAMS is a partner of the University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI).
