UEMS
The UEMS, established in 1958, is a European non-profit organisation representing more than 1.6 million specialist doctors, from 42 countries, i.e. all EU countries and beyond. UEMS bodies represent more than 50 medical disciplines and platforms of discussion to address multi-disciplinary issues. Through the UEMS, medical specialists have their views and concerns promoted through one stronger voice. The UEMS core objective is to improve patient care throughout Europe by developing and supporting excellence in specialist medical practice. We aim at ensuring quality education and specialist training, at promoting the highest standards of medical care in Europe, and at supporting the interests of medical specialists in their training and practice.
