Benefite for Palestine

While the genocide in Gaza and Palestine continues, it seems as if this topic is disappearing from the media and society. Now, more than ever, is a crucial moment when we must not lose focus, with a so-called ceasefire and politicians who say they want to do something. That is why it is important to continue to draw attention to the issue, to inform people and to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinians, however small that may be.

That is why a broad coalition from Leiden is joining forces to organise a Benefit Evening for Palestine at the Wibar. During this evening, we will once again draw attention to the genocide and engage in dialogue with each other. We will also discuss what we can do here in the United Kingdom and why it is so essential.

We will also be raising money for Plant een Olijfboom, which has been working tirelessly for the Palestinian cause for many years. The money raised will go to the Palestine Fund, which brings aid to the people of Gaza wherever possible.

Everyone is welcome, young and old, people who want to do something or learn more but don't know where to start. But also for people who have been involved in or committed to the Palestinian cause for some time.

The evening will feature various performances and activities. Among those present will be Ester van der Most from Plant een Olijfboom, Berber van der Woude from The Rightsforum, storyteller Sahand Sahebdivani, tattoo artists, and many more. There will also be activities for children, and you can enjoy a Palestinian dinner or Palestinian snacks throughout the evening.
