The mission of Dutch New Narrative Lab (DNNL) is to improve access to innovative entrepreneurship for *all* underrepresented groups in the Dutch startup scene (e.g. women, persons with a migration background, LGBTQ+, neurodiversity but also scientists).

DNNL was co-created with the serial tech entrepreneur, Investor and Multi-Board Member, Ruben Brave, to foster the hidden gem of diversity and inclusion in startups, scale-ups and corporate ventures in the Benelux and Germany, with economic ties to the Dutch economy.

The core of the initiative is a “sales driven” business incubator that not only connects founders of all underrepresented groups to mainstream media for more visibility, senior mentorship and impact capital, but also funnels concrete sales opportunities of international corporations to them.

The DNNL unConferences are participant-driven events fostering an inclusive entrepreneurial ecosystem in the Netherlands. Through networking, collaborating and sharing inspiring journeys, stakeholders from diverse backgrounds (founders, academics, investors, corporates, policymakers).

The first tier target group of the unconferences are innovative talented entrepreneurs from all underrepresented groups: women, ethnic minority background and/or immigrant, LGBTQ+. Second tier: Entrepreneurs (m/f/x) with Disabilities, Senior Entrepreneurs, Scientist Entrepreneur.

Besides founders we invite other relevant stakeholders such as academics, investors, corporates and policymakers.

The last unConference had +/- 60 people attending and we like to keep it modest to enable genuine bonding between the participants. We can modify this amount as it is an invite-only event as we consciously connect the stakeholders with each other to get the best possible input.
