Over dit evenement

--- Hackathon canceled due to Corona outbreak ---

To all students that study Data Science and/or Artificial Intelligence

PwC is working on making tools available to improve sporting skills for all children in the Netherlands, especially those who cannot afford it.

Hundreds of children will be affected by this, allowing them to improve their sporting skills. The benefit to the sports clubs is also obvious, they can now give everyone a chance to improve and thus have a larger talent pool to choose from.

This hackathon, organized in cooperation with PwC, the Data Science study association D.S.A. Pattern and the Eindhoven AI Systems Institute (EAISI) of TU/e, will take place on the grounds of the internationally renowned Hockey Club Den Bosch, so it will be an offline event!

During the hackathon, you will create a training assistant which can motivate sportsmen and women, in this case, hockey players, and help them improve their technique.

What makes this hackathon so special is that the data will be provided in the form of videos. By using video analysis techniques you will get a new perspective on how technology can play a role within sports! Throughout the event, several mentors with different expertise will guide you. At the end of the challenge, each team's final product will be judged by a panel of professionals.

The event is free and will take up more than 24 hours. Food and drinks will be provided. During the hackathon, you will work in teams of up to 5 members. You can indicate who you want to team up with already, but you can also sign up individually.

For more information about the program or any further questions, please contact s.m.j.claessens@tue.nl.

Please note that there are only a limited amount of spaces available; the final 10 spaces will be by selection. Registration deadline has been changed to Wednesday July 7, 21:00 so make sure to register in time.

We are very excited to see you there so please register now to be part of this charitable hackathon!

Hackathon Business Case July 9th:

Students from several universities will work on the development of an application that will enable children, who don't have a membership at a sports club, to get training from an online coach. For 24 hours, these students will apply their programming skills in order to develop the best video analysis of sporting people. The winner of the day will be chosen by the experts in our jury!

However, in addition to the development of the software, we would like to have a plan about how to bring this tool on the market (who are the main customers, what should it look like, what devices can be used, how can it be funded, etc). Are you entrepreneurial and interested in helping all children to have access to a coach to improve their sporting skills then sign up for this free Hackathon Business Case!

The aim of the business case is to introduce you to the daily business of a consultant!
