Peace Walk in the Netherlands & Belgium
HWPL Netherlands and Belgium Branches will host the Annual Commemoration of the Declaration of World Peace on 17 May 2025 in the Hague, Netherlands, and on 24 May 2025 in Antwerp, Belgium, marking the 12th anniversary of the Declaration.
Known as the international city of peace and justice, The Hague provides a deeply symbolic backdrop for this commemoration, being home to institutions such as the International Court of Justice and the Peace Palace. Antwerp, with its rich history as a center of cultural exchange and its active civil society, offers a meaningful setting to reaffirm the collective will for peace in a diverse and interconnected world. Together, these cities reflect both the legal and social dimensions of peacebuilding, reinforcing the global significance of this annual gathering.
