A storm is rising, not just across the land, but through the mind, body, soul, and history.
In The Centre of the Storm, multidisciplinary artist Jefferson Yaw Frempong-Manson takes you into a raw and intimate concert, filled with confrontation, memory, and hope.
A musical journey that moves from the club to the family story, from the dancefloor to the collective memory.
Jefferson presents his debut album as a time capsule and a love letter to the future.
In powerful tracks steeped in R&B, funk, and pop, with influences from dancehall, grime, punk, and techno, he weaves together personal history and wider themes: intergenerational trauma, freedom and power, impossible hope, ego dynamics, survival, and spiritual connection.
From the heat of the desert his father walked through, to the cold winter his grandfather was born into, this concert is an homage to his bloodline and roots, including Ghana and Indonesia.
A tribute to the resilience of his family, to survival, and to daring, once again, to love.
The Centre of the Storm is more than an album, it is a manifesto for and by our generation.
An invitation to claim your strength, to face your pain, and to become, together, a storm that sweeps away everything that tries to keep us small.
