The Utrecht Piano Meet-Up Group
The Utrecht Piano Meet-Up provides opportunities for adult intermediate/advanced or professional pianists in the Utrecht area to meet up with like-minded pianists and practice performing in an informal setting. You can join from any city! We meet to play for each other – a small audience of fellow piano enthusiasts – every two months, and afterwards head to a nearby pub or cafe to socialise and chat about all things piano-related. There are both audience and performer tickets and performer tickets include a free drink! The group welcomes everyone from intemediate to pro pianists, playing all styles of repertoire, and audience members are also welcome at events for those who don't feel like performing or just want to enjoy a nice evening and you can always invite friends/relatives along.
🎹 Event Rules
- Maximum performance time: 7 minutes. This ensures everyone gets a fair chance to perform.
- Repertoire: Any genre is welcome — classical, jazz, contemporary, or your own composition.
- Level: Participants must be intermediate level or above.
- Programme choice: Performers may present one complete piece or multiple shorter works within the time limit.
