Veelgestelde vragen

Do I need to know about classical music to come listen?

Certainly not! While Rachmaninoff music is intense and sometimes heavy, it is also clear, and often easy to listen to. You could also think of it as 'intense film music', but where the music takes the lead.

How does this evening go?

Before we play, we will first tell you a bit of context for the type of music, and for the music itself. The full program will take about 1.5 hours, which includes some talking. Also we'll be happy to talk with you afterwards!

Why Rachmaninoff?

Because this man has composed extremely profound and genius music with emotional and story-like depth, all while keeping it accessible enough to actually listen to. His most famous pieces are orchestral, but we decided to dedicate a performance to his equally awesome chamber music.
