✨🔓Are you ready to UNLOCK THE NEXTGEN 🔓✨The 2025 Digital Out-of-Home Challenge is officially here, and this year RA*W and Bauer Media Outdoor invite you to inspire NextGen students all over the Netherlands with a message of your making! 🤩

‘Unlock The NextGen’

The next generation is growing up in a world full of pressure, from climate anxiety and mental health struggles to financial stress and digital overload. But here’s the challenge: how can you flip the perspective? How do you create a design that feels real, relevant, and filled with possibilities rather than “all hope is lost”?This is your chance to inspire, empower, and spark imagination for the generation of tomorrow.

The Stage

With 240 NextGen Media screens across Dutch schools and university campuses, your work will be seen exactly where students hang out, look up, and see what matters. From buzzing canteens to lively hallways, these screens are impossible to miss. They support video, animation, dynamic visuals, even TikTok and Snapchat-style formats. The screen is yours.

The Message?

This challenge is about creating something bold, raw, and optimistic that truly inspires the NextGen. This can be a message of your choosing. Inclusivity, equality, humour, you name it. Away with boring; we want visuals and stories that feel like a friend’s message, not a lecture. Memes, short-form content, playful visuals, or an empowering spark: it’s up to you.

👀 For whom?

All creative souls, big or small, with 0–5 years of working experience. Solo or in a team (max. 2 people).

Thursday, September 11th –Arrival: 18:00–18:30 → Kick-off @ Bauer Media (briefing, inspiration & do’s and don’ts for DOOH) Can't be there during the kickoff? Bummer, you will miss some nice inspiration and tips. But no stress, still claim your spot here and receive the briefing through mail.

Monday, September 22nd – 12:00 → Deadline for submitting your design
