People First

At Viisi, we boldly challenge conventional HR practices. We consistently evaluate our actions, questioning whether they enhance autonomy, boost team performance, or help individuals discover their talents. If the answer is no, we're prepared to dismantle outdated HR structures. For instance, in 2016, we abandoned the traditional management hierarchy in favor of a Holacracy model of self-organization. Under this model, fixed job descriptions are replaced with dynamic, autonomous roles which are crafted by the employees. 

We've also developed a new salary model, based on equal pay, that supports our organizational structure. During the safari, you'll experience firsthand how our meetings operate under holacratic principles and we discuss topics such as rewards, performance management, role-based work, and the integration of feedback into daily routines.

What is Holacracy?

Holacracy is a management structure for organizations, and a radical departure from the traditional top-down management model, distributing authority among all the employees within the organization. This dynamic, transparent framework organizes work into 'circles' or teams, each with clearly defined roles and responsibilities. Every employee, as an 'entrepreneur,' enjoys full autonomy within their role, owning their contributions and operational decisions.
