Cascadia Wind Ensemble Society
Cascadia is a wind ensemble consisting of about 45 amateur musicians ranging in age from teens to more than 80. They range from students to teachers to entrepreneurs to retired people. Several of the musicians also play in the Fraser Valley Symphony and/or the Chilliwack Metropolitan Orchestra. But they all have in common a love of playing high quality music performances.Â
Cascadia represents the eastern part of the Lower Fraser Valley with musicians from Langley, Abbotsford, Mission, Chilliwack, Agassiz, Coquitlam, and Maple Ridge. Concerts have been played from Delta to Boston Bar, including Abbotsford, Mission, Maple Ridge, Chilliwack and Hope.Â
Concerts range from community events, such as Canada Day celebrations, to ticketed formal concerts in theatres with well-known guest artists.
