We can truly be proud of our 45 years of service to the community. Our programming which is led by our 5 facets (service to youth, the arts, health & human service, international trends & service, national trends & service) has positively impacted the lives of the Farmington Valley and Greater Hartford communities. In the last 5 years alone, we have• Enriched the lives of seniors by offering quarterly activities at the Mahoney Village• Provided “blessing bags” to our homeless,• Promoted global awareness on key African diaspora issues through our Global Linkage series which is celebrating its 30th year,• Sponsored a community and wellness fairs which has served up to 1000 participants annually• Bestowed monetary awards to students to aid them in achieving college degrees,• Exposed young minds to poetry and teaching them to share their feelings through the poetry art form.• Donated to countless community and civic organizationsWe must always remember that we chose each other to be a part of the Farmington Valley (CT) Chapter because we are confident that each of our sisters had gifts and talents which could strengthen our Link chain. Thus, let each of us continue to uphold our promise to the ideals and of the purposes embodied by The Links, Incorporated.In friendship and in service.
