Our vision for the community of Jersey is that all those with life limiting conditions, and those close to them, have access to the same high standard of care and support, whenever and wherever they need it. We believe that education is the key to achieving this ambition and is one of the cornerstones of our work at Jersey Hospice Care.

Our Education Team, supported by specialist clinical staff, provides an innovative planned programme of education, underpinned by the most current evidence in end of life care. All of our courses are run by expert clinicians who have been trained to teach in the subjects they deliver. Our varied programme supports achievement of the Gold Standards Framework focusing on all aspects of the patient and family journey. This includes foundation courses exploring the principles of end of life care, skills based workshops in communication, advance care planning and having conversations around spirituality, to workshops on the provision of emotional and bereavement support leading up to and after death.
